Hughes, Richard Joseph

Richard J. Hughes died on Dec 7, 1992. Hughes was a Democrat who served as governor of New Jersey from 1962 to 1970 and chief justice of the state's supreme court from 1974 to 1979. He authored the decision in the Karen Ann Quinlan right-to-die case.
