The life and work of Jim Wallis, evangelical minister and social activist is presented with reference to his career. Wallis is among the few evangelical Christian leaders who speak out about social injustice and is the founder of the Sojourners Fellowship, a group based in a poor, urban area of Washington, D.C., also serving as the editor in chief of the fellowship's magazine, Sojourners which focuses on the environment, nuclear disarmament, poverty, and government policies.

Morris, a jazz cornetist, composer, and conductor, is the inventor of conduction, a way of creating an improvised performance in which a conductor signals a group of musicians on whim to change rhythm, meter, and dynamics.
