Shirley Muldowney remains one of the most successful female drag racers in history. Muldowney was a consistent top finisher in National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) competitions and in NHRA Winston World Championships' Top Fuel division during the late 1970s and early 1980s.

Booth, Shirley

Shirley Booth died on Oct 16, 1992. Booth was a versatile actress who appeared on Broadway, in films and on television. She won a Tony Award and an Academy Award for her role in 'Come Back Little Sheba.'
