Article Abstract:

Significant progress has been made in the search for a better way to improve alloys and to protect them from corrosion. Researches have included the atomistic studies of surface and interface features and structure, materials and system performance under practical conditions and the electrochemical measurements of reaction rates. As a result, a continuing requirement for training corrosion engineers and scientists and for the dissemination of best practice exists.
