The Strokes

Article Abstract:

Music group Strokes' debut album "Is This It" helped change the face of mainstream rock music, bringing in a new sound and a series of garage bands inspired by the underground rock music of the late 1970s. Band members, which included the lead singer Julian Casablancas, bassist Nikolai Fraiture, guitarists Nick Valensi and Albert Hammond, Jr., and drummer Fabrizio Moretti, became celebrities almost as soon as the album reached stores.
