The latest commemorative stamps from the Philippines includes one focusing on HIV/AIDS awareness. A stamp commemorating the mass escapes of fighters from a Japanese prison was also issued. THe Year of the Pig was honored with two stamps and a souvenir sheet. Details of all honorees are presented.

Germany announces new issues for February
Article Abstract:
The German postal authority will issue a series of sports-related commemorative stamps in Feb 1995 entitled, 'For the Benefit of Sports 1995.' Design themes include amateur boxing, canoeing, and volleyball. A portion of the proceeds from the stamps' sale will go to a German sporting foundation.

Serbia issues anti-Masonic
Article Abstract:
Serbia issued four postage stamps that expressed the hatred toward communists and Jews in Jan 1942. The stamps pictured Serbs defeating communists, Jews and Masons, whom they considered a menace to society. The stamps are described.
