Bead stringing tips

Article Abstract:

The importance of a clean and well organized working area was emphasized in the task of bead stringing. Proper choice of beads and pearls are also pointed out to be as essential as the choice of the proper type, size and color of the bead cord.

Hand knotting and finishing with a French coil are the commonly used techniques in stringing beads. A guide on alternative stringing and tying methods is presented. Techniques include using endless strands, simple clasps and bead tips.

Outstanding strands

Article Abstract:

Bead or pearl strands which need to be restringed are often broken at the clasp. The French coil is the best material to use for bead stringing work because it strengthens cord durability at the clasp.
