Article Abstract:

Henry Hunt created stacks of laminated stones from a multi-colored selection of colored stones. Tourmaline, topaz, amethyst and citrine are laminated with ultraviolet cement which does not impede the transmission of light and allows the colors of the stones to shine through and emit a brilliance similar to faceted stone.

Blood from a stone

Article Abstract:

Gem dealer John Li plans to introduce myrickite at an Aug. 1996 international geology convention in China to exploit its similarity to Chicken Blood Stone, a highly-prized stone in China. Myrickite is also known as calbenite or bloodstone.
