Four new stamps continue Swiss folk art series(commemorative postage stamps)

Article Abstract:

In 1995, the fourth year of the series, Switzerland issued stamps depicting objects made from four different materials: wood, straw, metal and ceramic. The images are of a 1776 wooden cream pitcher, an 18th century straw hat, the design on a chest lock from 1580, and a ceramic sugar bowl from 1800.

Cherokee strip land run commemorative in error?

Article Abstract:

The Cherokee Strip land run in Sep 1893 allowed people to homestead a section of land originally dedicated as a neutral zone between the Eastern and Western Cherokee tribes in 1835. It was more often referred to as the Cherokee Outlet.
