How to build lighter foam wings and increase performance

Article Abstract:

Wing weight can be reduced by removing some of the solid foam core in a 'honeycomb' pattern. The foam can be removed with heated piano wire, and a hacksaw blade of a soldering gun. Two 74-inch wings can be lightened by 8 ounces.
