Killer storm

Article Abstract:

Six people died and seven yachts were abandoned during the 1998 Telstra Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race because of a sudden storm. The storm packed winds of up to 80 knots and waves that were as high as 60 feet. Forty-five aircraft and three surface vessels were utilized in the rescue effort.
