Making the frame

Article Abstract:

A 19-step guide to making a frame for a handmade sheet of mokume gane is presented. The frame, fashioned out of a 1mm x 3mm flat wire, brings attention to the mokume gane as the focal point of the brooch. The procedure should be easy for those who are adept at using a torch, have a knowhow of basic metalsmithing techniques and with access to various metalworking tools.
