"Old Glory" intarsia

Article Abstract:

The black jade strip that will be used for the stylized intarsia should have a drop of adhesive on one of its lapped sides. The strip should then be pressed against one side of the dopped piece and positioned and held until the adhesive sets in. The black jade is then grinded on all five sides.

Pine tree intarsia: advanced project

Article Abstract:

An 18-step guide to fashioning an opal tree on a lapis lazuli background is presented. The opal should have color flashes throughout while the lapis should have many gold particles. The design is divided into 19 individual strips of lapis, each ground to the exact width for a symmetrical look.
