Olympic first days from 1932

Article Abstract:

On Jan 26, 1932, the US issued the first stamp for the Olympics which were held at Lake Placid, NY. ABout 80 designs for FDC are recorded for 1932. Cachets for envelopes and postcard designs have always been popular for the Olympic games. Some other FDC for subsequent Olympics are described.

Tibet offers a fascinating array of postal history

Article Abstract:

A brief history of Tibet is given along with its postal history. British traders established the first post office in 1903, followed by the opening of Indian offices run by the British. Tibet was successfully annexed by the Chinese in the 1950s and all postal service is now Chinese.
