Some of the worlds finest dolls were made in France during the 19th century, but now, due to economic changes, only one entirely French-owned company, Petitcollin, remains. Petitcollin, 141 years old, had gone into bankruptcy when it was purchased in 1995 by Herve Halgand and Yvan Lacroix.
