The Delta Pro is a high-tech NiCd recharger that gives excellent readings and is compatible with a wide range of battery types. Priced at almost $160, the Delta Pro has two charging modes. The conditioning mode is for batteries that are deeply discharged. The other mode is a shorter two-hour setting.

Zinc-air batteries used in hearing aids were tested for use in cameras. The zinc-batteries were found to have a longer life when used in cameras since these required only a fraction of microamperes required by hearing aids. Prototypes of zinc-air cells for cameras are made by Wein Products Inc.
