Sandy Point Fall Classic, which is sponsored by the Grindrod Air Force, is always held on the weekend after Labor Day. Enthusiasts and almost 150 float-planes parade the ground, air and water. Sandy Point is five miles west of Salmon Arm, British Columbia in Canada.

22nd Annual QSAA
Article Abstract:
The 22nd Quarter Scale Association of American Fly-In was held at Las Vegas, NV, from Oct 15-17, 1998. This giant-scale event attracted 188 entrees and displayed the work of 30 model aircraft manufacturers. Mike Hawkins of Thailand won the best pre-1914 aircraft.

The 18th annual QSAA International Giant-Scale Fly-In was held on Oct. 20-22, 1995. Among the award-winning models were Nick Rivaldo's 118-in.-span B-25, John O'Brien's Waco BSo and Walt Moucha Sr. and Jr.'s Beechcraft D-18.
