Postage stamp collections require proper storage to preserve them. The use of silica gel to remove moisture, use of envelopes for storage and the use of proper mounting and handling methods are some of the techniques presented to preserve stamps.

To catch a stamp thief

A postage stamp dealer who lost $10,000 worth of stamps from the trunk of his car had an electronic system installed to prevent further thefts. The system warned the dealer when a thief tampered with his car.
