Top gun

Article Abstract:

The 11th annual Top Gun Invitational was the most well-attended competition in the history of the RC-aircraft contest. The 1999 edition of Top Gun had 11 jet-powered entries compared to last year's four.The organizers also confirmed that Palm Beach Polo Grounds, FL would still be next year's venue.

Article Abstract:

A special model airplane contest was sponsored by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronomics in Wichita, Kansas in April 1998. Contestants were required to take-off from a 300-foot runway using only a 2.5 pound Ni-Cd battery and carrying a 7.5 pound payload.
