Wow! A showcase for spectacular images and how they were made

Article Abstract:

A photograph of a sunset, lightning storm and landscape silhouette was achieved through a series of exposures. The first image recorded was the sunset. After the sky turned dark, a series of flashes were made to highlight some of cactus in the foreground that were superimposed on the first exposure.

Article Abstract:

The image of orange hues from an evening sunset saturating swirling clouds adds drama to where the point of land, Cape Beshi, meshes with the sky and sea. The photo, made in Jul 1990, was taken with a Pentax 67, Fuji Velvia film and a 75mm SMC Pentax lens.
