Tradition begins with the gift of giving

Mary White has found a unique way to teach the spirit of giving to her daughter Elizabeth during Christmas. At Elizabeth's Bible club meeting which she hosted, members wrapped gifts for needy children and read the Christmas story.

Penland's 75th

The Penland School of Crafts originated 75 years ago to teach weaving. It has always been entwined with approaches to arts education and the very definitions of art and craft.
