Frank Cabot founded the Garden Conservancy to perpetuate outstanding private ornamental gardens that can no longer be cared for by the owner. Gardens are screened for a transcendent quality and to see if the creativity and passion of the individual can be sustained.

Harvey Smith Ladew's 22-acre gardens are influenced by the sceneries he remembers from his numerous travels. The Ladew Topiary Gardens is maintained by five full-time gardeners supervised by director Lena Caron.

Karen Strohbeen and Bill Luchsinger are the proud owners of a lush garden situated in 80 acres of Iowa farmland. The garden, which occupies around eight acres, is planted with flowers, herbs and vegetables.
