Bubbling health at Blackpool

Article Abstract:

Many environmentalists oppose the use of bleach to purify water as it can react chemically with other matters to form carcigonenics. Bleach is discouraged in some hospitals and schools because it may release chlorine gas if used incorrectly. US research shows an increase in rectal and bladder cancer in heavily chlorinated water areas. The IARC (International Agency for Research on Cancer) published an evaluation on the risks of carcigonics in drinking water in 1991. Results showed levels are usually too low to be of any real danger.

Showdown as Kabila issues call to arms

Article Abstract:

Democratic Republic of Congo faces a rebellion, with some rebels backed by Rwanda, according to independent sources. There is speculation that the Angolan government is involved, since fighting has occurred near the border with Angola. Uganda is accused of helping the rebels, by the government of Congo. Both Uganda and Rwanda had previously supported the president of Congo, but differences developed over issues such as the status of ethnic Tutsis within Congo.
