Eighty-eight turnings; Bob Stocksdale

Article Abstract:

An exhibition, called 'Eighty-Eight Turnings,' is a retrospective of Bob Stocksdale's work, and also a celebration of his 88th birthday. Stocksdale creates bowls, in a variety of shapes, from a wide variety of wood. Some of the works are described.

Tapestry Biennial IV

'American Tapestry Biennial IV' was exhibited at the William D. Cannon Art Gallery, Carlsbad, California from October 12 to December 1, 2003. It defines tapestry as 'handwoven weft-faced fabric with discontinuous wefts'.

The 15th International Lausanne Biennial Contemporary Textile Art; the 7th International Triennale of Tapestry, Lodz

Article Abstract:

The Swiss and Polish exhibitions held during the summer of 1992 were both major events in the tapestry and textile art fields. Some critics were enthralled, but others detected a lack of innovation in the works.
