3D-QSAR: a current perspective

Article Abstract:

Three-dimensional quantitative structure-activity relationship (3D-QSAR) paradigms have greatly improved computer-aided molecular design. 3D-QSAR allows the development of correlations between diverse molecular structures and their biological function. The functions of 3D-QSAR include the selection of a group of molecules, alignment according to specific rules and computation of spatially dependent parameters for each molecule.

Factors that affect undesirable garment drape

Article Abstract:

Undesirable garment drape can be caused by incorrect positioning of the fabric before cutting, the asymmetrical body features of the wearer, inaccurately joined seams or the presence of bow and skewness in the fabric. Some research has been conducted on skewness in 3-by-1 twill-weave fabrics and on factors affecting spirality of knitted fabric. Further research, however, is required to find solutions to garment drape problems.
