Grow the sunniest flowers of all: sensational sunflowers are better than ever!

Article Abstract:

The avalanche of new sunflower varieties began in 1988 from Japan. Thirty-three varieties are listed and described. Tips are given on how to successfully grow sunflowers, and good places to place them in a garden. Suggestions are also offered on how to keep cut sunflower bouquets longer.

Grow your own herbal teas

Article Abstract:

Many of the herbs used to make herbal teas are easy to grow. Mint, available in many varieties, is eager to grow and can easily take over a garden. Tips on growing lemon verbana, lemongrass, lemon balm, anise hyssop and chamomile are included.

Grow a rainbow of leafy edibles

Article Abstract:

Green is not the only color for leafy salad vegetables. There are red lettuces, red and purple radicchio, white endive and purple and red mustard. Several varieties of these plants are described. Edible flowers are also discussed.
