There are rules to follow in helping baby animals that are abandoned or are suffering from illness or injury. These rules include making sure that the baby animals are truly abandoned, never touching them with bare hands and seeking help from adults and wildlife experts.

Hydrangeas in a heartbeat

Eldwin Aldridge of Bessemer, AL, strongly believes that hydrangeas should be the state's national flower because of its remarkable beauty. Hydrangeas can be germinated by providing the seed with the right amount of water and temperature.

This day is for the birds

Article Abstract:

Christmas was uniquely spent, with Greg and Cheryl Lasley, counting birds in the Brazoria National Wildlife Refuge. It was a welcome respite knowing that birds are being identified and counted instead of being aimed at and shot.
