Hide away at Devil's Fork

Devils Fork State Park in South Carolina is a small group of foothills in the western part of the state. Its pristine beauty has attracted visitors for generations. The opening of a lodging house has allowed the accomodation of more visitors who can enjoy its natural attractions.

Roaming free at Cape Lookout

Article Abstract:

The Cape Lookout National Seashore in North Carolina offers visitors a chance to commune with nature. The thin ribbons of shifting dunes and salt marches, which stretches 55 miles long, is so remote that one could get there only by private boator by ferry.

Cranberry Glades is a spongy peat bog 3,400 feet high in the mountains of southern West Virginia. Despite its southern location, the area resembles lands in northern Canada and is home to several species of plants that thrive in cold weather.
