Richard Tuttle: Streams of thought

Article Abstract:

Richard Tuttle, an American artist, best known for his improvisational sculpture made from scraps of string, paper, plywood, glitter and other materials, created a series of dyed unprimed canvas octagons. He signals an intention both to scrutinize his subject factually and to contemplate a role for the labor-intensive, highly coded Indonesian textiles in the existing technological society.
