Keeping food safe

Article Abstract:

Appropriate temperature control and packaging ensure the safety of picnic foods. The temperature of hot foods must be maintained beyond 140 degrees F, while that of cold foods must be kept from 40 degrees F and below. Tips from the Food and Drug Administration and the Dept of Agriculture are presented.

Traveling clothes -- comfort of home

A Southerner carried an unusual lucky charm, her mother's black wool winter coat for her first trip out of the country. A witty account of her visit to London is presented, where the coat kept her warm against the late autumn chill as she explored a city so far away from home.
