Legacy in a nutshell: growing native nut trees from seed is an investment in the future

Article Abstract:

Issues related to growing a nut tree in a garden or filed are examined, focusing on the advantages of nut trees and the manner in which to plant and care for them. Toics include different kinds of nut trees such as English walnut, pecan, chestnut; concerns for tree selection; planting; concerns regarding squirrels and chipmunks; and keeping records regarding the growth of the tree.
