Article Abstract:

A former East coast resident though he was finished with tree moths, the gypsy variety, when he moved West. He discovered moths in his oak and holly trees and treated them with bacillus thuringiensis only to discover that the moths were actually beneficial to the trees.

The California quail is a beautiful bird to watch as well as to hear for their persistent mating calls in spring. They will live in urban areas if there is enough cover and open space for them in hillsides.
