Scouting New Territory

Article Abstract:

Indian artist Cha' Tullis has created a 200-foot-long metal sculpture named 'New Territory' in Osage Hills, Hominy, OK. The sculpture includes 15 16- to 20-foot high figures of Osage and Cherokee warriors, depicting the arrival of the tribes in the land.

The Rush Springs Watermelon Festival has been one of the most interesting feasts celebrated in Oklahoma during August. The festival showcases different events, including seed-spitting competition, watermelon auction and dance performances.
