Molas folk art of the Kuna Indians

Article Abstract:

Molas, beautiful panels made by Kuna Indian Women, originally of Kuna Yala, Panama are used to make a front, and oftentimes, back panel for a woman's blouse. A finely mola is a source of pride and status for Kuna women, who would typically wear their best pieces with pride along with a wrapped cotton skirt, arm and leg beads, a gold nose ring and earnings topped off with a colorful head scarf.

Bookends belong to America

Bookends are one of the most antiquated collections popularized by the US, although the first works were made in Europe and England. As any other sculptural works are valued, bookends are rated according to age, artistic content, foundry, rarity and the artist.
