Mt. Washington Glass

Article Abstract:

Mt. Washington Glass Co. produced decorative blown and cut glass ideal for displaying in Victorian-style homes. It also made lava, Royal Flemish, Crown Milano, Burmese, Rose Amber and peachblow glassware. The company, which was founded in 1837, merged with Pairpont Corp. in 1894.

Art glass by Quezal

The pioneers in the field of glass art making in the 19th and 20th centuries were the Tiffany and Quezal companies. Their elegant products, such as lamps, vases, lamp shades, and bowls, made use of sparkling colors and intricate designs and have risen in value and demand today.

Blown glass in early America
