NUNO fabric: Contemporary Textiles from the NUNO Studio, Tokyo

NUNO studio in Tokyo provides an opportunity to see the distinctive fabrics created by this studio offered in 'Tradition and Innovation: Contemporary Textiles from the NUNO Studio'. NUNO Studio uses materials like paper, copper, stainless steel, feathers, banana fiber, and rusty metal combined with more traditional fibers of wool, cotton, silk, rayon or polyester in its fabrics.

The Raku Museum: Kyoto, Japan

Article Abstract:

The Raku Museum and the works of the Raku family of potters, including the original Raku potter Chojiro I, are described. The museum includes facilities for display of Raku works spanning 450-years. It includes research rooms and a tea room so that future generations of the Raku family may learn the traditional style and essence of Raku.
