Donkeys, burros and llamas have an advantage over sheep dogs in that they need no costly meat, or training, yet are they are aggressive towards predators. They must undergo early imprinting with the sheep. Jack Russells are keen hunters who keep farms free of moles, squirrels, groundhogs and rats.
