Article Abstract:

Angela Sutter, chair of the board of the Bellevue Arts Museum, which focuses on craft and design has unveiled its new $23 million facility, conceived as a combination hands on art school/contemporary art showcase. As part of this new mission, the Steven Holl-designed building is modified inside to better accommodate display and lightening requirements for craft and design objects and create an overall 'warm and friendly' effect.

Threads on the edge

Article Abstract:

The first public showing of Farago's fiber collection exhibited at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston in "Threads on the Edge: The Daphne Farago Fiber Art Collection" presented more than 70 works of 50 reputed artists. Some of the names of the artist whose works were displayed are Lenore Tawney, Sheila Hicks, Olga de Amaral, Kay Sekimachi and Ed Rossbach.
