Winterizing your yard: what you can do to protect your landscape from winter storms

Article Abstract:

Trees, shrubbery, perennials, and other yard plants should be protected from heavy winter snowfall. Mulching certain plants will help protect them from frost, while others may need to be cut back or covered with burlap. Trees under 15 feet that have been blown over may be salvagable.
