Raising basil

Article Abstract:

Basil seeds can be used to grow groups of seedlings which can then be used to form garden borders. Basil seeds should be grown on soilless seed growing substrate, covered with plastic and allowed to grow leaves in indirect light. Seedlings with small green leaves will then be ready for transplanting.

The classic camellia

The camellia is an integral part of southern culture being the preferred flower for weddings, centerpieces and clothing accessories. Camellias first arrived in the south during the 1800s. Varieties include the Lady Clare, Alba Plena and Debutante. Tips on planting camellias are presented.

Raising raspberries

Article Abstract:

Tips for growing raspberries are presented. These include spacing plants 2 ft apart with 7 to 10 ft between rows, building a temporary trellis to surround the raspberry row when canes start to grow and spraying frost off with a hose.
