Sea change: A '70s ranch is transformed into the quintessential waterfront cottage

Article Abstract:

The conversion of a rundown ranch, which was built during the 1970s into a perfect waterfront cottage, is presented. During the process of remodeling of the house, painted single-panel doors, crowns and baseboard moldings were used for giving a traditional look, whereas in the living room the fireplace was rebuilt and kitchen and living room were separated using a 41/2-foot-high wall with 3-foottall divided-light windows.
