The Galveston Historical Foundation in Galveston, TX, hired architect Leonard Durante to undertake the restoration of a historic home formerly owned by statesman Michel B. Menard. The house is in the Greek Revival style with Ionic columns and was furnished with period furniture.

Article Abstract:
Cathy Gallinhouse makes decorative pillows, usually in cylindrical forms, which she also displays in her house. The pillow cases are made of hand-painted silk fabrics. To achieve an elegant look, the silk fabrics are combined with trims.
