Alice Higuera and her son Angie began growing berries and vegetables after he returned from Brazil, but now their main crop is flowers. The vegetable garden is now a fraction of its former size, and the family's Vermont neighbors travel for miles to buy bouquets.

Strawberry sap beetle: stelidota geminata

Article Abstract:

The strawberry sap beetle likes to tunnel into ripe fruit, especially the section the fruit that is in direct contact with the soil. Whole wheat bread dough will attract it out of the ground into insect traps.
