Steuben glass, like other early 20th century crystal, keeps going up in price, but surprisingly many items attributed to Frederick Carder, offer affordable possibilities for the beginning collector. He was a gifted English designer who managed Steuben Glass Works and created and pioneered many new methods using colored glass, much of it in the beautiful Art Nouveau style.
