The shrinking farm dollar

Article Abstract:

Between 1960 and 1992, the faremr's share of the food dollar dropped from 33 cents to 22 cents. As more Americans trade home cooked food for convenience and restaurant food, the farmer receives a smaller share of each dollar spent. Statistics on food expenditures and farm income, are presented.

Adopt a pothole

Article Abstract:

Wildfowl populations in the Midwest are decreasing in alarming numbers. Mallards have declined by 50% due to foxes, agricultural activity, drought and the like. Potholes, water-filled sinkholes on the prairies, are also declining. The conservation project of Delta Waterfowl is described.
