Mark Griffiths's botanical dictionary has 400 illustrations and describes and classifies 60,000 garden plants and thousands of cultivars. Unlike other scientific works, the dictionary uses almost poetic language, and offers garden recipes for the cultivation of plants.

Page Dickey's gardens are lush and romantic. She has a patch for everything - vegetables, herbs, flowers and trees. Dickey planned the gardens in the three-acre Duck Hill, NY property to reflect the design of the house she shares with her husband.
