Ticktock goes the clock

Article Abstract:

A New Haven Victorian mantel clock made in 1881 was a treasured possession of Audra Stark that went on to become a family heirloom, treasured by subsequent generations of the family. The writer is the current keeper of the clock and describes the joy of responsibility and stewardship that accompanies the role of keeper of the family clock.

Article Abstract:

A variety of materials such as sweet gum balls, pinecones, small stones, sheet moss, ceramic tiles and seashells can be used to dress up the tops of potted plants. These materials will cover up the boring-looking soil while helping potted plants retain moisture.
