Filled with blooms: Danny Boyd has taken his garden to the street

Article Abstract:

Danny Boyd began his project of growing flowers in the ditch in the fall of the year 1999. He used the technique of spraying the ditch's grass and weeds with glyphosate to kill them and then sowed seeds of golden-orange California poppies on one corner.

Potted plants that flower in winter can add cheer to any home. The best winter-flowering plants include cinerarias, Rieger begonias and florist's azaleas.
