3M opens High Point Innovation Center

3M has inaugurated its new Innovation Center for the furniture and fabric industry at 2401 Brevard Road in High Point, NC. The center specializes in providing furniture and textile companies with technical training and other customer support services and features technology and product demonstration areas. The new center is one of the five Innovation Centers that 3M operates in the US, with the four others located in St. Paul, MN, Los Angeles, CA, Austin, TX, and Detroit, MI. The company envisions to establish 24 more centers throughout the world over the next several years.

Bad Boy opens fourth store

Article Abstract:

Bad Boy Furniture Warehouse has inaugurated its fourth store, a 28,000-sq-ft showroom located on Thickson Road in Whitby, Ontario. The new store has an appliance pit, a Panasonic home theater experience room and a merchandise that are a little more upscale. The location was the formerly home to a store of Best Choice, until Bad Boy bought the operation and improved the store. Bad Boy is still preparing for further growth sometime in 1999, with Hamilton, Barrie and Ottawa considered as future growth areas.
