Holland House files Chapter 11

Article Abstract:

Holland House of Indianapolis, IN, a maker of glider rockers and dining room furnitures, is seeking Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. The company, which listed total liabilities of $6.2 million against assets of only $5.5 million, said that its fast growth has resulted in a cash-flow problem that necessitated the filing. Holland, which is proceeding with its participation at the High Point, NC, market despite the filing, is planning to implement a cutback in some of its product offerings in order to continue serving its clients.
